As reported by China’s CNTV on October 11, 2011, approximately 1.5
million hectares of rice paddy fields in Thailand, Âu Lạc (Vietnam),
Cambodia, and Laos have been damaged or are at risk of failing due to
recent flooding that is among the worst in years, with livelihoods and
food prices likely to be affected.
